Collection of Personal Data
Personal data is generally defined as information or an opinion that can identify a person. The type of personal data that Asphar & Associates may collect from an individual will vary with their dealings with us. Asphar & Associates collect information from individuals directly and from authorised third parties ie: References from persons whom the individual provides as referees.
Use of your Personal Data
Asphar & Associates respects the privacy of personal data, and therefore does not trade, rent, or sell individuals' personal data to any other parties. The primary purpose of our use of personal data is in the provision of suitable candidates to our clients and to find suitable positions for our candidates.
Sharing of your Personal Data
The very nature of our business means we speak to applicants about clients, and to clients about applicants. We will not liaise with either without first obtaining permission from both parties to do so. In these cases, only that information which is relevant will be disclosed.
Security of Personal Data
All computer based information is protected by our security systems.
Access to Personal Data
As stipulated under the Privacy Act 1988, individuals have the right to access their personal data held by Asphar & Associates. We will handle requests for access to personal data in accordance with National Privacy principles. To request access to your personal data, please contact our offices during normal business hours. We ask for requests to be made in writing so that Asphar & Associates can acknowledge your request within 14 days and respond within 30 days. If access cannot be granted to any or all of the information requested, we will inform you as to why. Some information is contained on forms and in databases with a commercial value that may require us to reformat it before sending.
